Fetches
Not everything comes by email. Fetches let you pull content from school websites, online newsletters, and other web pages into Slurp so it's all searchable in one place.
Adding a URL
On the Fetches page, enter a URL to fetch. Slurp will retrieve the page, extract the text content, and index it like any other document. You can also set up URL patterns to fetch multiple related pages (e.g., all pages under a school's news section).
Each fetch is assigned a label, just like documents.
Fetch Status
The Fetches page shows all your fetch jobs and their status — queued, in progress, completed, or failed. You can inspect individual fetches to see the extracted content.
Use Cases
- School newsletter archive pages that aren't emailed
- Term dates and calendar pages on the school website
- Policy documents hosted online
- Class blogs or news feeds
