Account & Labels
The account page is where you manage your profile, set up labels for each school or child, configure email forwarding, and invite other parents to share access.
Labels
Labels are how you organise content in Slurp. Typically you'd create one label per school (e.g. "Banksia Public", "Riverside High"). Everything — documents, emails, fetches, calendar events — is tagged with a label, and you can filter by label throughout the app.
Creating a Label
Click New Label on the account page. Give it a name that makes sense to you. You'll get a label ID that's used internally, but the display name is what you'll see everywhere.
Email Aliases
Each label can have one or more email aliases. These are forwarding addresses like banksia-public-8xcz03af@slurpai.click that you can use to get school emails into Slurp. Set up a forwarding rule in your email client to forward school emails to the alias, and Slurp will automatically ingest them.
You can create multiple aliases per label and copy them to your clipboard for easy setup.
Sharing with Other Parents
If you have admin access on a label, you can invite other parents to share it. This is useful when both parents want access, or when a group of parents want to share a school's communications.
Click the invite button on a label to generate a time-limited invite link. You can choose whether the invitee gets read-only or read/write access. You can also manage existing members — view who has access and change or revoke their permissions.
Notification Preferences
Two text fields let you tell Slurp what matters most to you:
- Priorities: Describe what's important and how you'd like to be notified. For example, "Always tell me immediately about permission slips and payments. Summarise newsletters in the weekly digest."
- About My Family: Give context about your children — names, year levels, which classes or activities they're in. This helps Slurp identify which parts of a whole-school email are relevant to you.
Profile
The profile section shows your name, email, timezone, and user ID. Your profile information comes from your login provider.
